Three Layer Buckwheat Flour Print

18.00

These 'Buckwheat Flour' prints were made during a residency with Aimee Joyaux at Cornmeal Press in Petersburg, VA in 2016. The stamps came from a collection of old linoleum, rubber and metal plates used for printing feed bags by the Morgan Bros. Bag Company out of Richmond, VA. Aimee rescued the stamps from being discarded after the company went out of business and has restored them in her Petersburg print studio. For the journal of my residency at Cornmeal Press, check out the Tumblr for my printmaking at Skudit Press.

Printed on an etching press by hand, registering each layer of the individual rubber vintage stamps. Each print is unique and the layers don't completely line up by design. Printed on recycled medium weight semi-gloss paper.
