Tanned by hand using non-industrial methods, using emulsified fats, plant tannins and days of physical softening and preening.

This hide was washed multiple times. You may want to brush it a little more or keep it wild.

machine washable in cold water and on cold setting in the dryer. Air dry to complete.

this animal lived a full life outside and a little debris remains in the hide here and there - we did as much as we could to brush it out but it’s impossible to get every bit by hand. A dog brush or wool comb will keep the hide tended from its inevitable dirt and leaves. Spray with water and a dash of vinegar on the hair to regain coils after brushing.
